BUCKWHEAT

ABOUT THE PRODUCT
Buckwheat began to be cultivated more than 5 thousand years ago. Many sources claim that the native country of this cereal is northern India and Nepal, where it gets the name “black rice”, while today in many European countries, due to the similarity of its seeds with beech nuts, they call it “beech wheat”. The Eastern Slavs began to call it “Greek”, because it reached them from Byzantium in the 7th century, where it was mainly cultivated in monasteries by Greek monks.
