CRUNCHY MILLET STICKS
gluten free source of protein

Ingredients:

 

  • 500 g “Slavuj” millet flour
  • 200 g of white flour
  • a teaspoon of baking powder
  • two tablespoons of oil
  • salt
  • water (add gradually until a suitable texture, that can be finely shaped, is obtained)

Preparation:

  • Knead the dough and let it rest for at least an hour. Transfer the dough to a clean surface and roll it out using a rolling pin.

  • Cut the dough into strips and roll each strip into a thin “worm” shape. Then, overlap the strips and roll them together to create a braided appearance.
  • Arrange the braided dough on a tray lined with baking paper and brush it with a mixture of oil and water. If desired, you can sprinkle the braided dough with sesame seeds, cumin seeds, or any other preferred topping.
  • Bake at 180 degrees Celsius for approximately 30 minutes.
